Boom Barrier with
Fast-Tag

A boom barrier is a simple machine used to control the vehicle flow at a commercial or residential building. Boom Barriers are also installed to automate entry gate management. It is installed near the entry point of a site so that unauthorized vehicles can be monitored and controlled.
These barriers can easily be automated using new technologies such as RFID/Fast-Tag Automation, ANPR Automation, Gaido’s Automatic Number Plate Recognition System and semi-automatic systems like Remotes or Push-Button.

What are Fastags?

A Fastag is a reloadable, simple-to-use tag that is fixed on the windscreen of a four-wheeled vehicle and is non-writable.
Now, the Fastag will allow the drivers of four-wheelers to pass through the toll gate boom barriers without having to stop at the entry point.

How does a fast-tag work with a boom barrier?

The boom barrier is installed at the entry point of the property and a Gaido’s RFID Reader is attached to the boom barrier. Once the vehicle with a fast-tag arrives in front of the boom barrier or is at a distance and going to arrive, the Gaido RFID Reader senses the fast-tag on the vehicle and the barrier raises automatically which gives access to vehicles to enter the property.

A database is added of all the vehicles issued with fast-tags to Gaido’s RFID Controller that allows only resident/authorized vehicles to enter/exit the premises and prevents all other Fast-tags to enter the premises. Also, the daily check-in and check-out of these vehicles is provided in the form of a dashboard.
