These boom gates are classified into two types: manual and automatic.
The manual ones are simply opened and closed by the security guard or anyone sitting next to the boom barrier. Also, allow vehicles access near the property’s entrance.
Now speaking of the Automatic Boom Gates – A parking barrier gate is a simple machine used to control vehicle flow at a commercial or residential building. Boom Gates are also installed to automate the entry gate management. It is installed near the entry point of a site so that unauthorized vehicles can be monitored.
A parking barrier gate has a long arm that prevents a vehicle from entering a building. The security raises this arm/barrier using a simple remote after an entry is approved by a security guard near the entry point. These barriers can easily be automated using some new technologies such as RFID Automation, Fast-Tag Automation, Gaido’s Automatic Number Plate Recognition System and through a semi-automatic system which is Remotes or Push-Button.
RFID Car Parking System
The purpose of using RFID for parking systems is to provide simple solutions to the problems that are encountered in the parking lots, to decrease the workload, to maintain the records of vehicles and to give access to authorized vehicles.
How do these RFID parking systems work?
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the wireless, non-contact transfer of data using Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields. It is used to automatically identify and track tags that are attached to cars. RFID tags are used in RFID technology.
Gaido RFID readers are controlled using a RFID Master Controller that helps in managing and controlling various parking reports and operations systems.
Check-ins and check-outs can be recorded using Gaido’s RFID software. By avoiding traffic congestion near parking lot entrances, registered vehicles will not have to wait for their vehicles to be identified because they will be carried out automatically by the tags that are provided to them. This will also ensure security as only the registered tags (users) are allowed to enter. Those that are not registered, can be given access post-approval.
